Alcazar Restaurant

Alcazar Restaurant

Revamped by Architect and interior designer Lola Gonzalez, in late 2015, the former cabaret has a fresh look that inspires most. Elegant and poetic, plants take centerpiece giving it a garden appearance, a meeting of the finest handicrafts; marble, brass, terrazzo, straw and wood…large banquets and tables, a large house with an encircling balcony, a coveted cocktail bar.

A modern take on dishes by Guillaume Lutard; “Poached organic egg, mushrooms, liver” “roasted wild cod, braised fennel”, “filet de canette de challans roasted with honey and ginger, figs, butternut and sweet potato” and “Pavlova, passion fruit.” A refined cuisine with worldly touches.

And the transition continues upstairs at the cocktail bar, a delightful surprise !

Elmer Restaurant

Elmer restaurant

Opened in late 2015, Elmer is making a name for itself as the Chic neo-bistro of the moment. At its helm chef Simon Horwitz, a young chef in his early thirties, but don’t let the age fool you, with a solid CV (ex Sylvestre Wahid, ex Pierre Gagnaire), you are in for a surprise or two.

In addition, an open kitchen with a dining area that transcends all the elements of this kind of establishment: modern, chic, minimalist and warm. You can expect plates to share, plenty to pick and choose from “Côte de cochon du Ventoux” one of the signature dishes, “beef from normandy”,”Cod with braised Brussels sprouts ” “crumble and honey ice cream” or ”whiskey chocolate ganache”.

Inspired by the Chef’s travels, this contemporary cuisine will leave you inspired for more.

David Toutain

The opening of David Toutain in 2013, was clearly anticipated, due to the reputation of a prodigy he cultivated at the kitchen of Agapé Substance. Located in les environs of champs de mars, one might expect a touch of “snobisme”, on the contrary the minimal design & earthly colors set off a casual and unpretentious impression. Vegetables are at the centerpiece of Toutain’s cooking; the carte blanche menu offers 4-6 creations, meticulously crafted, striking a balance of textures and subtle flavors. For a complete tasting, wine pairing is also at the rendez-vous, making it an exclusive culinary experience worth every penny.

Le Silencio

As we walked in the dark hall, a grey haired gentleman approached us and said “ Hello, I am David Lynch.“ Just kidding. The probability of seeing the iconic director is quite low but his imprints are definitely there (Part owner and decorating). This is your atypical club for sure! The different rooms are mysterious and land from a movie set, you will bump into a mix of finely dressed Parisians, artsy types & internationals. (Weekdays are the best)

Bar Etna

Located in Saint-Germain des Prés, Bar Enta really represents what Paris has best to offer. The place is relatively small, but attention immensely refined with a very intimate feel to it (part of the wine bar Charm). The perfectly crafted wooden boat shaped bar adds a certain authenticity that we find quite rare & original. The warm welcome is refreshing from a passionate owner who knows his wines and makes excellent suggestions. Give it a try during the week (less crowded than in the weekend)!
